IN MEMORY OF ERWIN OLAF

We mourn the loss of photographer Erwin Olaf. He sadly passed away on September 20 after having received a lung transplant a few weeks prior.

With his works, the Dutch artist created an enigmatic world, which at first glance appeared flawless, but on closer inspection raised questions about democracy, equality and self-determination. His visionary energy, his sensitivity to social currents, and his tireless fight for the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community will continue to have an impact.

We had the privilege of working with him on the catalogue for his first major solo exhibition in Germany at the Kunsthalle Munich. 

He will be deeply missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
